This criminal original petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to grant police protection during the Chithirai Thiruvizha Festival of Arulmighu Mangammal Mahalakshmi Thirukovil which is going to conduct from 19.04.2019 to 23.04.2019 based on the representation given by the petitioner dated 10.02.2019.

2.It seems that there are dispute between the petitioner's group and respondents 3 to 10 herein, in respect of conducting Festival of Arulmighu Mangammal Mahalakshmi Thirukovil from 19.04.2019 to 23.04.2019. In this regard, the petitioner sought for police protection and gave a representation on 10.02.2019, and the same is still pending for consideration. 3.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the second respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the request given by the petitioner on 10.02.2019, after giving opportunity to the counter parties, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4.With the above directions, the criminal original petition is disposed of.
