Prayer : Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Court Act, seeking to punish the respondent for his willful disobedience in complying with the order dated 11.07.2023 passed by this Court in C.M.P.No.14108 of 2023 in C.M.A.No.1416 of 2023. O R D E R

(Order of the Court was made by R.SUBRAMANIAN, J.) The respondent is produced in person. He had produced the joint memorandum of compromise signed by the parties. It appears that the husband had not complied with certain conditions in the compromise, which has prompted this contempt petition.

2. A perusal of the compromise shows that the parties have agreed to part ways and only the financials had to be worked-out. Though the marriage of the husband is prior to the compromise, after knowing the marriage there was a compromise entered into between the parties. We therefore do not see any cause for contempt.

3. Accordingly, this contempt petition is dismissed. The statutory notice or warrant issued against the respondent is recalled. Consequently, connected applications are closed.
