The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents made a submission that the Police Officials, who registered the FIR, have seized the documents, including the Driving License of the petitioner.
2. The Driving License was produced before the Regional Transport Officer (RTO), who in turn has to take a decision in consonance with the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing on behalf of the respondents states that the decision is yet to be taken on merits. The show cause notice was issued on 21.03.2023 and further the proceedings are to be conducted.
4. That being the factum, the Licensing Authority/Regional Transport Officer is directed to look into the issues and take decision by following the procedures as contemplated as expeditiously as possible with
reference to the claim of the writ petitioner for return of Driving License.
