ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by P.N.PRAKASH, J.] This habeas corpus petition has been filed seeking to direct the second respondent to secure the detenue, Kowsalya, D/o. Lakshmanan, aged 20 years, now in the custody of the third respondent herein, produce before this Court and set her at liberty.

It is the case of the petitioner that her daughter Kowsalya, aged about 20 years, has eloped with Arul Raja, third respondent herein and that the police are not taking effective steps to secure her despite a complaint dated 16.04.2021. 3.
On instructions, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the petitioner has sent the complaint dated 16.04.2021 by post and the police have not received it. 4.
Therefore, we direct the petitioner to go in person and lodge a complaint to the second respondent. On such complaint being lodged, the second respondent shall register an FIR for 'woman missing' and take steps to secure the detenue. As and when the detenue Kowsalya, aged about 20 years, is secured she shall be produced before the jurisdictional Magistrate under intimation to the petitioner.
With the above directions, this habeas corpus petition is closed.
