ORDER

The prayer made in this Writ Petition is to direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation for increment along with arrears as per G.O.No.234(finance) dated 01.06.2009.

2. According to the petitioner, he was appointed as Sweeper in a Public Library at Kadathur Village, Dharmapuri District on 24.06.2002 and at the time of appointment, he was paid Rs.295/- as salary. Thereafter, his salary was revised on two occasions and he is now getting Rs.855/-. While so, the Government passed G.O.(MS)No.234 (Finance), dated 01.06.2009 to the effect that all the employees working in Government Departments on daily wage basis will be increased upto 25%. However, the respondent did not extend the said benefit to the petitioner. In this regard, the petitioner submitted representations dated 22.10.2013 and 09.02.2015 to the respondent. Finding no response on the same, he has come up with this writ petition for the aforesaid relief.

3.Heard both sides and perused the materials available on record.

4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and having regard to the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, this Court directs the respondent to consider the Petitioner's representation dated 09.02.2015, if not already considered, and pass appropriate orders, on merits and in accordance with law and also in the light of G.O.Ms.No.234 (Finance) dated 01.06.2009, within a period of eight weeks (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 5.This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
