This writ petition is filed seeking directions to the 2nd respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 20.01.2015 to recommend the petitioner, any post suitable to the petitioner's qualification in the Government Department.
2. There was no representation on behalf of the petitioner on 30.10.2023, so the respondent was heard and the matter was directed to be listed today under the caption for orders. Even today the petitioner fails to appear before this Court.
3. The affidavit filed along with this petition would show that 40 years ago, he came to India as a refugee from Sri Lanka and studied the course B.Sc. (Maths) in the year 1993, completed B.Ed. Course in the year 2010, acquired qualification in typewriting, both in Tamil and English, and he registered his name in the concerned Employment Exchange in Viluppuram in the year 1993, but he was not called for any interview for any recruitment so far. He filed a representation before the respondent to consider him for any post suitable to his qualifications but still there was 2/5
no response. Hence, the petitioner is constrained to file the present writ petition.

The learned counsel for the respondents have filed a detailed common counter affidavit stating that the representation of the petitioner dated 20.01.2015 was received by the second respondent on 02.02.2015 and the same was considered and suitable reply had already been sent to the petitioner vide Office Letter No.A2/1301/2015 dated 09.02.2015 and a copy of the said reply is also enclosed with the counter affidavit. It is also submitted that basing on the qualifications, the petitioner is eligible for Junior Assistant, Typist and Graduate Teachers. However, for getting recruitment in any of the above said posts, he has to go through the process of competitive examination which is being conducted by Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission and Teachers Recruitment Board and the same in is explained in the reply given to him.
5. This representation is filed for a direction to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 20.01.2015. However, as per the records, the representation of the petitioner dated 20.01.2023 has already been considered long ago and a reply was sent to him vide Office Letter 3/5
No.A2/1301/2015 dated 09.02.2015. Once, the representation has already been considered, this writ petition seeking for a mandamus would become infructuous.
