2. This Writ petition is filed seeking for release of vehicle bearing Reg.No.RJ09GC9169 forthwith by the 2nd respondent.

3. Heard both sides.

4.It seems that as against the driver of the vehicle, a criminal case has been filed in Crime No.87/2020 under Sections 420, 466, 468 and 471 IPC alleging that he has produced some false receipt for paying the fine. Therefore, the vehicle was seized. It is further seen from the counter affidavit filed by the respondents that the vehicle is to be produced before the concerned Criminal Court.

5. Since the vehicle is to be produced before the Criminal Court, it is for the petitioner to work out his remedy by making appropriate application before the concerned Court for release of the vehicle. Needless to state that if any such application is filed, it is for the concerned Court to consider such application and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law. By granting such liberty to the petitioner, this writ petition is disposed of, without expressing any view on the merits of the matter. No costs.
