Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Habeas Corpus to call for the records in Crl.M.P.No.23/2020 dated 12.05.2020 passed by the District Collector and District Magistrate, Ariyalur District, Ariyalur quash the same and to produce the body of the detenu Raja @ Selvakumar, Son of Subramaniyan, aged 45 years before this Court, who is now detained at Central Prison, Trichirapalli in pursuance of the aforesaid order under Act 14/82 branding the detenu at Bootlegger and set him at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in Crl.M.P.No.23/2020 dated 12.05.2020 detaining her husband as "Bootlegger", as contemplated under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.

2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.2910 Home, Prohibition and Excise (XV) Department, dated 06.07.2020 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
