Respondents PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to issue necessary orders/instructions to the 2nd respondent to allot the remaining land of 1100 sqft. to the petitioner for which the petitioner made a representation to the 1st respondent dated 15.05.2014.

ORDER

Heard Mr.R.Malaichamy, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.V.Selvaraj, learned Additional Government Pleader [Co-op], who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 and 2.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner made representation to the first respondent on 15.05.2014 and no order has been passed in the said representation and therefore, the petitioner filed the present writ petition.

3.According to the petitioner, the petitioner was allotted a plot No.18 measuring 1308 Sq.ft. of land, which is contradiction to the assurance given by the second respondent for allotting one ground to the petitioner. The petitioner received the said allotment letter under protest and registered the land in his name during February 2014. The petitioner made several representations lastly dated 15.05.2014 to the 1st respondent to allot the remaining 1100 sq.ft. 4.The learned Additional Government Pleader submits that there is no counter has been filed as on date. 5.Considering the limited scope of the prayer sought for in this writ petition, without going into the merits of this case, this Court is inclined to direct the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 15.05.2014 on merits in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is also directed to enclose a copy of the said representation along with this order copy.

6.The writ petition is disposed of, with the above directions.

No costs.

Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
