Respondents Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to include the Gonur East Village as a beneficiary in the project sanctioned vide G.O.Ms.No.193 issued by the first respondent namely "diversion of flood surplus water from the Mettur dam to the dry tanks in the Sarabanga basin in Salem District" and to provide for flow of water to the Sekkan Lake and other ponds in the Gonur East village through the said project.

ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.) This is a Public Interest Litigation filed by the petitioner seeking direction to the 5th respondent to consider the representation dated 24.12.20219 made for the purpose of extending the Scheme to the petitioner's village viz., Gonur East Village.
2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the pipeline goes through the village of the petitioner viz., Gonur East Village, the Scheme has not been extended to. Suffice it to direct the 5th respondent to consider the abovesaid representations within a reasonable time.
3. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the State submitted that the abovesaid representations will be considered within a reasonable time.
4. In view of the above submissions, the 5th respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 24.12.2019 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The writ petition stands disposed of accordingly. No costs.
