No.38/2020 dated 12.05.2020 passed by the District Collector and District Magistrate, Ariyalur District, Ariyalur quash the same and to produce the body of the detenu Ravi son of Jeganathan, aged 48 years before this Hon'ble Court, who is now detained at Central Prison, Tiruchirapalli in pursuance of the aforesaid order under Act 14/82 branding the detenu as Bootlegger and set him at liberty.

ORDER
[Order of the Court was made by M.M.SUNDRESH, J.] The petitioner challenges the impugned order of detention in Cr.M.P. No.38/2020 dated 12.05.2020 detaining his father as "Bootlegger", as contemplated under Section 2(b) of the Tamil Nadu Act 14 of 1982.
2. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor reports that the order of detention passed against the detenu has been revoked by the Government by its order in G.O.Rt.No.2925 Home, Prohibition and Excise (XV) Department, dated 06.07.2020 and he has also produced a copy of the Government Order. Recording the same, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed.
