The prayer sought for herein is for extension of time of the mandate of the Arbitrator to pass an award in the Arbitration Proceedings initiated pursuant to the orders passed by this Court in O.P.No.58 of 2017.

2. Heard Mr.Gubedran, learned Counsel appearing for the applicant and Mr.M.Balaji, learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

3. Both the learned counsel submitted that, the extended period of Arbitral Tribunal expires on 12.04.2019 and within this time, the Arbitration Proceedings are in the stage of arguments and in fact the claimant has almost completed his arguments and only the respondent has to make its arguments and after conclusion of the arguments, it is for the Arbitrator to pass an award therefore, atleast three months time was sought, for completion of the Arbitration proceedings.

Having considered the said factual matrix of the issue since the Arbitration proceeding are in the stage of arguments and the extended period of Arbitration also expires on 12.04.2019, this Court is inclined to extent the said mandate of the Arbitral Proceedings, for a further period of three months from 12.04.2019 within which, it is expected that the Arbitration proceedings will be completed and final award would be passed by the Arbitrator.
