O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed seeking issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to dispose of the appeal proceedings pending in Na.Ka.A4/3972/2021 dated 13.10.2022 within the time frame fixed by this Court.

2. Heard Mr.M.Velmurugan, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.S.Jayachandran, learned Government Advocate appearing for respondents.

3. The petitioner sought for grant of patta in his name with respect to the subject property and the same came to be rejected by the second respondent through proceedings dated 17.10.2020. Aggrieved by the same, the petitioner filed an appeal before the first respondent and the same is pending. Since no final orders have been passed, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the materials placed before this Court, there shall be a direction to the first respondent to deal with the appeal pending in 2/4

Na.Ka.A4/3972/2021 dated 13.10.2022 and pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
