ORDER

The petitioner/A2, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offence punishable under Sections 294(b), 353, 307, 506(ii), 430, 379 of IPC r/w Section 21(1) of Mines and Minerals (Development & Regulations) Act, 157 in Crime No.311 of 2019 on the file of the respondent police, seek anticipatory bail.

2.The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner while he was driving the vehicle in which he is alleged to have transported the sand illegally, the petitioner is said to have attempted to dash on the Sub Inspector. It is also brought to the notice of this Court that there are eight previous cases pending against the petitioner.

3.Considering the seriousness of the allegations and the fact that the petitioner is a habitual offender, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner and accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
