PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, to call for records and quash further proceedings in Crime No.252 of 2023 pending on the file of the respondent Keelaiyur Police Station, Nagapattinam District.

The case of the prosecution is that the third respondent was functioning as union secretary of the particular political party, while so, he uploaded his speech in social media, in reply to the said speech, it is alleged that the petitioner in an abusive manner replied to the said speech in the comment box with an intention to insult the leader of the party. While so, the third respondent made a complaint against the petitioner and a case was registered against him. Challenging the same, the present petition has been filed.

3. It is represented by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the first respondent that, on the complaint given by the third respondent, investigation was conducted and Charge Sheet was filed through E.Filing on 12.02.2024.

4. In view of the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondents 1 and 2, no further orders is required to be passed in this petition. 2/4
