ORDER

The order dated 01.10.2014 passed by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Chengalpattu is under challenge in the present writ petition.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioners made a submission that two civil suits were instituted between the parties. One suit in O.S.No.282 of 2004 has already been disposed of on 17.07.2017. Yet another suit filed in O.S.No.411 of 1992 is pending and posted for disposal.

3. In view of the fact that the suit in O.S.No.282 of 2004 instituted was disposed of after filing of the present writ petition and one more suit is pending for disposal. Therefore, the petitioners have to submit a fresh application after the disposal of the suit and on reaching finality in respect of the dispute that arose between the parties. Thus, the petitioners are at liberty to submit a fresh application for grant of patta or to cancel the patta or to effect changes in the revenue records as the case may be after the disposal of the civil suit and after reaching finality in the civil litigations. 2/4

4. With this liberty, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
