Heard Mr.S.S.Swaminathan, learned counsel for the petitioner and perused the records.

2. This civil revision petition is filed seeking for a direction to the learned Judge, Additional Mahila Magistrate Court, Egmore to dispose of D.V.C.No.109 of 2019 and connected Crl.M.P.Nos.159 of 2021 to 163 of 2021, Page No.1/4

within a time frame as fixed by this Court.

3. During the course of submissions, it is brought to the notice by the learned counsel for the petitioner that earlier the petitioner has filed Crl.O.P.No.5398 of 2021 before this Court, wherein a direction was given to the learned Judge, Additional Mahila Court, Egmore to expedite the hearing in D.V.C.No.109 of 2019 and dispose of the same within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of the said order. It is to be noted that in spite of more than two years from the date of the said order, still the matter is pending.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner fairly submitted that on account of Covid-19 pandemic situation, the matters could not be proceeded with and also submitted that he has filed certain interlocutory applications and now all of them are came to be disposed of.

5. Considering the circumstances, this civil revision petition is disposed of with the following direction :

(i) The learned Judge, Additional Mahila Court, Egmore, Chennai is directed to strictly follow the directions given by this Court in Crl.O.P.No.5398 Page No.2/4

of 2021, dated 19.03.2021.

6. It is to be noted that as per the directions of this Court, the suit could not be disposed of within the time stipulated by this Court. Hence, the learned Judge may seek extension of time, however, records show that no such extension of time sought for by the Court below.

7. Considering the circumstances explained by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court again directs the learned Judge, Additional Mahila Court, Egmore, Chennai to dispose of D.V.C.No.109 of 2019 as expeditiously as possible, not later than three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

8. There shall be no order as to costs.
