Mr.R.Govindasamy, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent and by consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. Heard both sides.

The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the respondent herein to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.11.2017, wherein and whereby, he has sought for grant of patta in favour of the petitioner and the other legal heirs of late Smt.Nilamangaiammal in respect of 1.67 acres of vacant land situated in Mahabalipuram Village in Thirukazhukundram Taluk, Kanchipuram District.

4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court, is that the said representation has not been considered so far. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the claim made by the petitioner, as it is for the respondent to consider and decide the same. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only with a direction to the respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 30.11.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
