ORDER

This Court, by an order dated 29.1.2016 made in W.P.No.35387 of 2015, directed the respondents 3 and 4 herein to pass appropriate orders on petitioner's representation with regard to providing police protection for taking re-delivery of the subject properties. Since the said order has not been complied with by the respondents 3 and 4 as directed by this Court, the present contempt petition has been filed.

2. Today, when the matter came up for consideration, learned counsel for the respondents produced a copy of the letter dated 7.3.2016 sent by the 3rd respondent to the petitioner Bank, wherein, it has been stated that the police protection as sought for by the petitioner could not be provided on 4.02.2015 on the ground that larger number of police personnel have been engaged for removal of encroachment in Sri Vaikunda Mariamman Koil, as per the order of this Court made in WP.No.37564/2015. However, police protection would be given to the petitioner, if a fresh representation is given for taking re-delivery of the properties for an alternative date.

3. Recording the said submission made by the learned counsel for respondents, the contempt petition is closed.
