The complaint dated 16.08.2019 registered against the petitioner for offence under Section 465, 468, 471 & 420 IPC is pending trial in 1/4

C.C.No.359 of 2022 on the file of the Judicial Magistrate No.I, Salem District. The petitioner, who is the sole accused, has filed quash petition alleging that substantial amount alleged to have been cheated for job been paid and the money was collected on a bonafide belief to arrange the job for the complainant.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submits that nearly Rs.27 lakhs been cheated on promising to get a job for 39 persons. A case of forgery, cheating and fabrication of document been investigated and final report filed. 3.

Considering the prima facie material available, this Court is not inclined to quash the C.C.No.359 of 2022. However, taking note of the fact that the FIR has been registered in the year 2019 and alleged payment of money was in and around in the year 2019, it is suffice to direct the trial Court to complete the trial within a period of 12 months. 4.

With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
