ORDER

The petitioner has come up with the present writ petition for a mandamus, directing the respondent to hear the petitioner and dispose of her revision petition, pending on the file of the respondent.

2. It is the case of the petitioner that her late husband Palanivel was assigned and granted a patta in respect of the land in S.No.717/3 measuring to an extent of 1.03.0Hectares in the year 1984 under the Schemes of Board Standing Orders for allotment of Land to Villagers below the poverty line, by the proceedings of the Special Tahsildar, Land Assignment in DKT No.560/1993 dated 26.02.1984. Thereafter, the petitioner's family was living in the said land by putting up a hut. While so, a notice appeared to have been sent by the Village Administrative Officer vide proceedings in Na.Ka.No.1511/98 dated 03.01.2004, on the ground that the assignment was granted to the petitioner's husband on the basis of the fictitious documents. Thereafter, the Revenue Divisional Officer, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Kodaikanal, by his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.908/04/A dated 20.02.2004, has cancelled the patta granted to the petitioner's husband and restored the land to its original status as Circar waste land. Challenging the said order, the petitioner preferred an appeal before the District Revenue Officer, Dindigul, who by his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.D1/32681/2008 dated 26.12.2004, confirmed the order of the Revenue Divisional Officer and dismissed the appeal filed by the petitioner. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner filed a revision petition during the month of June 2015 before the respondent herein and the same is yet to be disposed of. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the present petition for the above stated relief.

3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate, who took notice for the respondent.

4. Considering the limited nature of the relief sought for herein, without going into the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, this Court directs the respondent to consider the revision petition filed by the petitioner in June 2015, by affording an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner as well as to all the necessary parties, if any and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
