The petitioner has come up with this petition seeking a direction to the respondent police to transfer the investigation of the case in Crime No.Not Known of 2015 from the file of the Inspector of Police, R4 Soundarapandiyanar Angadi Police Station to the file of Inspector of Police, R1 Mambalam Police Station, Chennai - 17 since originally the jurisdiction of the accused in the above case falls within the limits of R1 Mambalam Police Station.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent police.
3. On a reading of the complaint, it is seen that the petitioner was running a pharmaceutical company, which the opposite party wanted to buy. The petitioner and the opposite party agreed that the opposite party will pay a sum of Rs.11 Lakhs. Admittedly, the opposite party has given chques to the petitioner. cheques had bounced. Under such circumstances, no cognizable offence is made out for the police to investigate much less for transferring the investigation from the file of R.4,Soundarapandiyanar Angadi Police Station to any other Police Station. Hence, this Criminal Original Petition is closed with liberty to the petitioner to work out his remedies in the manner known to law.
