O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to issue suitable directions to the respondent police to hand over the petitioner's shop key along with 1500 bags of rice worth about Rs.18/- Lakhs to the petitioner.

2. On a perusal of records, it is seen that the petitioner purchases the rice bags through brokers. One Manokaran, who is the relative of the petitioner approached the petitioner stating that he is a rice broker and he is having good contact with rice mill owners and in the course of the said rice business, the said Manokaran agreed to supply to the petitioner's shop by arranging the same from various rice mill owners. Thereafter, the said Manokararn approached various rice mill owners using the petitioner's name that the petitioner ordered for purchase of rice, but after receipt of the rice from the rice mill, the said Manokaran did not supply the same to the petitioner's shop. In this way, he has cheated the rice mill owners by using the petitioner's name. The rice mill owners approached the respondent police. mill owners and locked the petitioner's shop on 13.03.2019 and took away the key with him without any Court order. Once again, the respondent police came to the petitioner's shop along with rice mill owners, opened the shop and removed the petitioner's entire rice stocks worth about Rs.18,00,000/- without any Court order. Hence, the present petition is filed.

3. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the prayer sought for in this petition cannot be considered by this Court. However, the petitioner is at liberty to lodge a complaint before the appropriate authority.

4. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
