Respondent Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondent to dispose of the petitioner's appeal dated 26.10.2016 within time bound manner.

ORDER
Mr.P.T.Ramkumar, the learned Standing Counsel (Railway) takes notice on behalf of the respondents.
2. The grievance of the petitioner in this case is that though he has filed statutory appeal against the penalty imposed on him in a disciplinary proceeding, which is pending with the sole respondent, but no decision on the same has been taken yet. Hence, he has come to file the writ petition seeking a direction to the respondent to dispose of the appeal within a stipulated period.
3. The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent, submits that the respondent shall have no objection to dispose of the same within the stipulated period, if the same is pending yet.
4. Considering the aforesaid submissions made, this Court disposes of this writ petition at the stage of admission with https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
the direction to the sole respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 26.10.2016 of the petitioner, if the same is pending, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order, if there is no other legal impediment in such disposal. However, it is made clear that this Court has expressed no opinion on merits of such appeal of the petitioner in any manner. No costs.
