O R D E R
This writ petition has been filed seeking for issuance of a Mandamus, to direct the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 18.12.2013 to regularize the service of the petitioner from the date of her appointment as a Sanitary Worker in Karumathampatty Town Panchayat, Somanur in Coimbatore District with all consequential and attendant benefits including pay fixation and arrears.
2. The case of the petitioner, in brief, as stated in the affidavit enclosed to the petition, are as follows:
The petitioner herein has been working as a Sanitary Worker in the 3rd respondent Town Panchayat since 1997. She was called for an interview on 27.11.1997 and was appointed as a Sanitary Worker vide proceedings in Na.Ka.no.1772/97A. The petitioner has submitted a representation to absorb her in the existing vacancy available and to regularize her services. However, the same has not been considered so far. Therefore, sought for a 2/5
direction.
3. Heard the learned counsel on either side. 4.Mr.Jayanthy, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 2 would submit that if sufficient time is granted by this Court, the respondents would consider the representation of the petitioner.
5. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on both the sides and considering the pleadings, there shall be a direction to the respondents to consider the representation made by the petitioner on 18.12.2013 and to dispose of the same on its own merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible not later than four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
6.This Writ Petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
