Respondent Prayer: Contempt Petition filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Court Act, 1971 to punish the respondent for the willful disobedience and violation of the order dated 09.01.2017 passed in Crl.O.P.No.14140 of 2011. For Petitioner : M/s.R.Murali For Respondent : Ms.Kritika Kamal. P.

ORDER

This Court, while disposing of Crl.O.P.No.14140 of 2011, vide order dated 09.01.2017, has issued the following directions:

"10.The FIR discloses that there are sufficient materials for the police to proceed further with the investigation and therefore, the same cannot be quashed in the light of the law laid down by the Supreme Court in State of Haryana v. Bhajan Lal [1992 (Supp.) 1 SCC 335].

In the result, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed with a direction to the respondent police to complete the investigation in Cr.No.9 of 2011 expeditiously and take action in accordance with law. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed."

In view of the aforesaid directions, the defacto complainant has filed the present contempt petition alleging that the police have not complied with the said directions.

2. Ms.Kritika Kamal, learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent has submitted that the investigation in Cr.No.9 of 2011 was completed and the Final Report was filed in C.C.No.225 of 2018 before the Court of Judicial Magistrate No.I, Udumalpet for the offence under Section I.P.C.

against Tvl. Sivakumar, Neduncheliyan, Sekar, Parthasarathy, Thangavel and Appuni.

3. In view of the above , this Contempt Petition is closed.
