Respondent Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to make Sub Division by measuring the land in Survey No.124/1 2.92 situated in Kottiyampoondi Village Vikravandi Taluk Villupuram District and issue separate patta in the name of the petitioner.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims that he has purchased a property in Survey No.124/1 admeasuring to an extent of 2.92 acres, situated in Kottiyampoondi Village, Vikravandi Taluk, through a registered sale deed dated 09.09.1996, bearing Doc. No.1342 registered on the file of the Sub Registrar, Vikravandi and thereafter, applied for making sub division and separate patta in his name and paid the necessary charges and since, he has not been favoured with any kind of response, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that a representation was also sent on 21.04.2015 and it was acknowledged by the respondent on 22.04.2014 and in spite of it, no orders have been passed and hence, the petitioner is constrained to approach this Court, by filing this writ petition.

4. The Court heard the submissions of Mr.Dig Vijaya Pandian, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent.

Though the petitioner prayed for a larger relief, this Court, taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of this case and without going into the merits of the representation, directs the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 21.04.2015, in accordance with law, after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned.

5. The writ petition is disposed of, accordingly. No costs.
