Today, Mr.G.Karthikeyan, learned Assistant Solicitor General of India, produced a communication dated 15.03.2019, which reads as follows:

NOTIFICATION This Ministry's Notification No.U12012/33/2016-M.E.I, dated 08.09.2016 recognizing MBBS qualification when granted by "The Tamil Nadu Dr.MGR Medical University, Chennai" in respect of students being trained at Madha Medical College and Hospital, Thandalam, Chennai, is hereby confirmed. The conditions imposed in the Ministry's Notification, dated 08.09.2016 are removed.

Learned Assistant Solicitor General of India further submitted that the above communication substitutes the earlier communication dated 30.08.2018 issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department. 4.

In view of the same, no further orders are required in this Contempt Petition and the same is closed. Also, in view of the Notification dated 15.03.2019, it is open to the Petitioner/College to admit eligible candidates for the academic year 2019-2020.
