Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing Respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection to the Petitioner Institute and its hospital to run peacefully with its staff and willing workers and thereby suitably prevent the Respondent 4 union, their members, office bearers, agents and outside supporters from assembling and striking within radius of 500 meters of the Petitioner's hospital from preventing the smooth functioning of the hospital administration and free ingress and egress of men, material and vehicles. This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 3 to provide police protection to the petitioner Institute and its hospital to run peacefully with its staff and willing workers and thereby suitably prevent the 4th respondent union, their members, office bearers, agents and outside supporters from assembling and striking within radius of 500 meters of the Petitioner's hospital from preventing the smooth functioning of the hospital administration and free ingress and egress of men, material and vehicles.
2.At the outset, this Court is of the view that the petitioner virtually seeks an injunction by way of a writ petition, which cannot be entertained. If in case any illegal activities take place in the guise of strike or if there is any disturbance caused to the petitioner Institute, the petitioner is at liberty to lodge a complaint with the respondent Police and the respondent police shall act on the complaint of the petitioner in accordance with law. 3.With these observations, this writ petition is closed.
