ORDER
This petition has been filed seeking to forbear the respondents from erecting any additional electric pole in S.No.54/8 situated at Sarkarpudur Village, Udumalpet Taluk, Tiruppur District and to consequently direct the respondents to forthwith grant electricity connection to the said property without making the erection of an additional electric pole as a condition precedent.
2.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is the owner of the agricultural land in S.No.54/8, under patta No.95, measuring
an extent of 4 acres situated at Sarkarpudur Village, Udumalpet Taluk, Tiruppur District. The made an application to the 2nd respondent for the issuance of an agricultural electricity connection for the bore-well in his land, and he was directed to submit all the required documents on or before 06.03.2022 for granting approval. After due verification, the respondents granted approval for the agricultural electricity connection to the bore-well on 21.05.2022. Pursuant to the same, electric poles were erected in the petitioner's patta land, and all related works for providing the electricity connection were completed. However, although all the works were completed as early as on 21.05.2022, the electricity connection has not been provided to the petitioner to date.
In this regard, the petitioner enquired at the office of the 4th respondent about the undue delay in providing the electricity connection. The petitioner was orally informed that he must give permission to erect an additional electric pole in his agricultural land as a condition precedent for granting the electricity connection. Aggrieved by the same, the present writ petition has been filed. 3.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that, during the pendency of the writ petition, electricity service connection has been granted in favour of the petitioner.
