The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 3 to 6 to disqualify the 1st respondent from the Presidentship of the Sentharapatti Town Panchyat and as well as the membership of the Ward from where she was elected.

2. When the Writ Petition is taken up for hearing, Ms. A. Madhumathi, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 2 to 6 submitted that the term of the office of the 1st respondent had already expired and hence, nothing survives for adjudication in the present Writ Petition.

3. Recording the submissions made by the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 2 to 6, since the term of the 1st respondent had already expired, the Writ Petition is dismissed as infructuous.
