Prayer : Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 6 to conduct proper survey and field inspection with reference to the Old Field Measurement Book and revenue records and rectify the error in the New Filed Measurement Book in respect of Survey No.175/4 of Pethanayagankuppam Village, Kurinjipadi Taluk, Cuddalore District, wherein the eastern boundary has been erroneously shown as 135 meters instead of 137 meters, based on the petitioner's representation dated 23.10.2025, within a time frame as may be fixed by this Court. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents 1 to 6 to survey and demarcate the boundaries of the petitioner's property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition and to rectify the error in the FMB for the very same property, based on the petitioner's representation, dated 23.10.2025, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Mr.S.Arumugam, learned Government Advocate, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents 1 to 6. Since no adverse orders are passed against the 7th respondent in this writ petition, notice to the 7th respondent is dispensed with by this Court.

3. Since the petitioner's representation dated 23.10.2025 for the aforesaid purpose was not considered by the respondents, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents, if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the objections, if any, from the neighbouring land owners as well as any other party, whom the 2nd respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.

5. For the foregoing reasons, this Writ Petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent to pass final orders, on merits and in Page No.3 of 6

accordance with law, on the petitioner's representation, dated 23.10.2025 seeking survey and demarcation of the boundaries of the property morefully disclosed in the prayer to this writ petition, and for rectification of error in the FMB for the very same property, after giving due consideration to the supporting documents filed by the petitioner and after hearing the objections, if any, from the neighbouring land owners as well as any other party, whom the 2nd respondent deems it fit to enquire, within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
