ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of a Certiorarified Mandamus seeking records relating to an order of the 1st respondent, District Collector, Chengalpet in Na.Ka.No.151/2024 Sa.U.Thi/A1 dated 30.04.2024 and to quash the same. The petitioner seeks that he must be permitted to continue in service till 31.07.2029.
2.By the impugned order the 1st respondent, District Collector, Chengalpet, had stated that in the school certificate of the petitioner, his Date of Birth had been given as 20.04.1964. It had been stated that therefore, he had attained the age of superannuation on 30.04.2024 and therefore, the petitioner was permitted to retire. Nearly a year has gone by. Now the petitioner has raised an issue that his actual Date of Birth in accordance with his birth certificate is 20.07.1969 and therefore, he must be permitted to continue to work for a further period of five years. 3.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the
respondents had produced the service register of the petitioner, wherein it has been clearly recorded that he had passed his 10th standard in the year 1982. If he was actually born in the year 1969, then he would have completed his 10th standard at the age of 12 to 13 years, which is simply not possible. It is more probable that he was actually born in the year 1964. The petitioner must accept the fact that he had attained the age of superannuation and had been correctly retired on 30.04.2024. 4.An option was given to the learned counsel for the petitioner that if he presses, an enquiry could be directed. But however, the learned counsel stated that the matter could be dropped at that. Let no steps be taken by either side.
5.With the above observations, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
