O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM, J.] Heard J.Thilagaraj, learned counsel for the petitioner. Mr.T.N.Rajagopalan, learned Government Pleader (In-charge) accepts notice on behalf of the 1st and 2nd respondents. In the light of the direction, we propose that the issuance of notice to the 3rd respondent is dispensed with.

2.The petitioner is before this Court by way of this writ https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petition filed as a Public Interest Litigation to direct the 1st respondent to take necessary action for resuming the re-laying of the road between Veppampattu Village and Puliyur Kandigai Village, Thiruvallur Taluk.

3.It is not clear as for what reason the re-laying of the road has been stopped and from the photographs which have placed in the typed set of papers, we find that the area is a vacant area and there is a small water body abutting the katcha road. However, it is for the District Administration, to take a call on the issue and consider as to whether the road has to be formed or not.

4.Therefore, without expressing any opinion on the contentions raised by the petitioner, we direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 25.09.2017 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioner is directed to forward a copy of the said representation along with copy of this order to the 1st respondent for compliance of the above direction. 5.With the above directions, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
