ORDER

The writ petition is filed to direct the respondents to construct Kovilur Panchayat office building alias Kovilur H/o.Kovilur in S.No.2/1B situated at Kovilur village, Thonnenahalli Revenue village, Karimangalam Taluk, Dharmapuri district by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 09.01.2025.

Learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that at present the Panchayat Office Building is situated at temple land and already proposal has been sanctioned for construction of Panchayat Union Office at Kovilur H/o Kovilur at estimated cost of Rs.30,00,000/- on 06.08.2024 by Assistant Engineer (RD), Panchayat Union, Karimangalam counter signed by Assistant Executive Engineer, (Rural Development), Dharmapuri Sub-Division, Dharmapuri.

Learned Counsel for the petitioner would further submit that the petitioner has given a representation dated 09.01.2025, to all the respondents to construct Kovilur Panchayat Office Building at Kovilur and no action has been taken till date.

Learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit written instructions from Block Development Officer / fourth respondent vide Na.Ka.No.554/2025 A3 dated 17.03.2025, and submit that there is no administrative sanction granted by the District Collector / second respondent for construction of Panchayat Office Building at Kovilur.

The second respondent / District Collector is directed to consider the above said representation of the petitioner dated 09.01.2025, after giving due notice, opportunity of personal hearing and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above directions and observations, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
