Respondents PRAYER: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to issue a legal heir certificate viz., as legal heir of the deceased U.Subramaniam within a stipulated period of time as fixed by this Court. Mr.K.J.Sivakumar, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the respondents to issue a legal heir certificate viz., as legal heir of the deceased U.Subramaniam. She has also sent a representation to the respondents dated 13.11.2017, in this regard.

4. The grievance of the petitioner is that the said representation made by the petitioner before the respondents has not been considered so far.

5. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner as it is for the respondents to consider and decide. Therefore, this writ https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

petition is disposed of by directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.11.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
