Prayer :- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to consider my representation dated 06.03.2023 and further may also be pleased to direct them to lay concrete road in the Kanathur Reddy Kuppam Main Road at Kanathur Reddy Kuppam Village Chengalpattu District.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed by a resident of Kanathur Reddy Kuppam, Chengalpattu District with a grievance that the main Road viz., Kanathur Reddy Kuppam main road is in complete tatters and potholes and it has become impossible for the road users to access the main road and the representation made by the petitioner in this regard was also not acted upon and hence, the present writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondents to consider the representation and to lay the concrete work.

Government Pleader for R1, R2 and R4 and Mrs.K.Vasanthamala, learned Government Advocate for R3. 3.

The learned Special Government Pleader appearing on behalf of respondents 1, 2 and 4 and Mrs.K.Vasanthamala, learned Government Advocate appearing for 3rd respondent submitted that the condition of the road has already been taken into consideration and it has been brought within the Chief Minister's Road Development Scheme. It was further submitted that the total length of the road is nearly 1200 meters and the sanction is about to be given for laying the road and thereafter, the tender will be called for and the road will be laid. It was submitted that the laying of the road will be completed within ten months to one year. The specification with regard to the nature of work that is proposed to be carried out at Kanathur Reddy Kuppam Fishermen colony road was also produced before this Court.

Recording the above submission, there shall be a direction to the respondents to proceed further with the process of laying the road and complete the same as expeditiously as possible. By virtue of the stand taken by the respondents, the grievance expressed by the petitioner has been redressed. 5.
