Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to inspect and verify the property in Survey No.70/1 in Patta No.307 to the extent of 40 cents in Kattachanallur, Thiruchengodu Taluk, Namakkal District and issue surveyor report. By consent, this Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to have purchased the land along with his brother in Survey No.70/1 in Patta No.307 to the extent of 40 cents in Kattachanallur, Thiruchengodu Taluk, Namakkal District by way of registered sale deed bearing in Doc.No3892/2012 dated

20.12.2013 registered on the file of the office of the Sub Registrar, Pallipalayam. They claim to be in possession and enjoyment of the said land. Thereafter, the petitioner along with his brother made a joint representation to the respondent praying for inspection and survey of the land so as to enable them to put up a super structure and in this regard, they submitted an application on 28.05.2014 along with the prescribed fees and also followed by reminder dated 18.11.2014, which was also acknowledged by the District Collector on that day itself. Since no response is forthcoming, the petitioner came forward to filed this Writ Petition.

3. Heard the submissions made by Mr.S.Manoharan, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader who accepts notice for the respondents. 4.

This Court, without going into the merits of the representation, directs the petitioner to submit a reminder to the 3rd respondent within a period of one week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and on receipt of the same, the 3rd respondent is directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application/representation dated 28.05.2014 as well as the reminder, after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible, not later than six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision to the petitioner as well as the persons concerned.
