Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 09.06.2015 and grant permission to the petitioner in order to conduct the cultural and adventure program and to give police protection which is schedule to be held on 23.06.2015 in Sri Mariamman Temple, situated at Pudukottai (Village) and (Post), Tirupattur Taluk, Vellore District.

2. The petitioner claims to be an Organizer of the Temple Festival Committee of Sri Mariamman Temple, located at Kanamandhur, Pudukottai (Post), Tirupattur Taluk, Vellore District. He has submitted an application dated 09.06.2015 to the respondent, praying for permission to conduct cultural pro gramme, which includes dance and songs programme to be held on 23.06.2015 and since no orders have been passed, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.
3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instruction, would submit that in the event of permission being granted to conduct the song and dance programme, there will not be any law and order problem and no vulgarity or obscenity will be there and hence, prays for appropriate orders.

4. This Court heard the submissions of Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent.
5. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioner and without going into the merits of the application/representation, directs the respondent to consider the application/representation dated 09.06.2015, in accordance with law and pass orders on or before 21.06.2015 and inform the decision taken to the petitioner forthwith.
