Prayer: Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code, to direct the 2nd respondent to give police protection on 14.04.2019 to conduct Lakshadeepam Utsavam Festival at Arulmigu Sakthi Vinayagar Temple, Aadhi Dravida Colony, Thaiyur Village and to conduct Nadagam on 15.04.2019 in the said village.

O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to give police protection to the Arulmigu Sakthi Vinayagar Temple, Lakshadeepam Utsavam Festival and to conduct Nadagam on 14.04.2019 & 15.04.2019 respectively and the representation made by the petitioner dated 18.03.2019.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents.

3. With regard to the conduct of Arulmigu Sakthi Vinayagar Temple, Lakshadeepam Utsavam Festival and to conduct Nadagam proposed to be held from 14.04.2019 to 15.04.2019, the petitioner submitted a representation to the respondents on 18.03.2019.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, the 2nd respondent is directed to conduct enquiry on the representation lodged by the petitioner on 18.03.2019 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of one week from the date of receipt of the copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
