The instant writ petition has been filed with a prayer for issuing a Mandamus to direct the first to third respondents herein to consider the request of the petitioners to transfer them from their present station to any of the vacancies in the post of Office Assistant to Cuddalore District.
2. The learned counsel for the petitioners would submit that they have given representations dated 12.02.2025 and 18.02.2025 seeking to consider the petitioners' transfer to any of the vacancies in the post of Office Assistant 2/5
in Cuddalore District, and such representations are pending with the first to third respondents.
3. At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that they would consider the said representations of the petitioners within a reasonable time.
4. Heard the learned counsel for both sides and perused the materials available on record.
5. In such view of the submission, without going to the merits of this Writ Petition, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the first to third respondents to consider the petitioners' representation dated 12.02.2025 and 18.02.2025, and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. In the result, this Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observations. No costs.
