ORDER
Pursuant to the complaint sent through post on 26.02.2024, the complainant alleging that the respondent police is not acting upon his complaint is before this Court.

The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police states that on receipt of the complaint, the complainant was called for enquiry by the Inspector of Police, R-2, Kodambakkam Police Station, to appear on 09.03.2024, but the complainant did not turn up.

However, the learned counsel appearing for the complainant says contra to that.

The learned counsel appearing for the 3rd respondent submits that the 3rd respondent also went to the police station for enquiry, but no progress and she also has grievance against the complainant/petitioner.

It is a case where there is an allegation and counter allegation that they have been cheated by proposing to marry. The respondent police cannot refuse to register the case without proper investigation and hence this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Inspector of Police, R-2, Kodambakkam Police Station to conduct enquiry in accordance with law and file report within a period of two months from today. No costs.
