ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents 1 to 3 to allot the respective shops in the building complex more fully disclosed in the affidavit in support of the writ petition by giving preference to the members of the petitioner association, based on the petitioner's representation dated 05.12.2025, within the time frame to be fixed by this Court.

The petitioner claims that its members were earlier allotted shops in the building complex, which has been demolished and reconstructed. According to the petitioner, its members are entitled to preferential allotment in the newly constructed shops. The petitioner submitted a representation dated 05.12.2025 to the 2nd respondent for this purpose. Since the said representation was not considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition. 3.

Dr.T.Seenivasan, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents submitted that the petitioner's representation will be considered by

the 2nd respondent only in accordance with the Tami Nadu Urban Local Bodies Rules, 2023.

No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation, as stated above, is directed to be considered, in accordance with the Tami Nadu Urban Local Bodies Rules, 2023, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation.

For the foregoing reasons, this writ petition is disposed of by directing the 2nd respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law, on the petitioner's representation dated 05.12.2025, seeking preferential allotment of the subject shops to the petitioner's members in accordance with the Tamil Nadu Urban Local Bodies Rules, 2023, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
