ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of a writ of mandamus directing the 1st respondent to issue patta in the name of the petitioners for the subject property.

2.When the matter came up for hearing on 02.04.2025, this Court passed the following order:

Mr.P.Sathish, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the respondents.

2.The main grievance that was expressed by the learned counsel for the petitioners is that the subject property was a subject matter under the Urban Land (Ceiling and Regulation) Act, 1978. The same came to be challenged by the petitioner along with others in a batch of writ petitions in W.P.No.27695 of 2005 etc. These writ petitions came to be allowed by an order dated 19.09.2002 and the proceedings came to be quashed. The grievance of the petitioners is that this order has become final and in spite of the same, patta is not being issued in the name of the petitioners.

3.The learned Additional Government Pleader seeks for some time to take instructions in this case.
