By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner claims that it is a religious minority institution, which is established with the sole aim to cater to the needs of the poor and downtrodden people in the rural areas, i.e., in and around the college in Kanyakumari District, and it was granted recognition for B.Ed. Course by the National Council for Teachers' Education (NCTE) vide proceedings dated 12.12.2007, for an annual intake of 100 students and it is also affiliated to Manonmanian Sundaranar University.

3.The petitioner would further state that after the formation of the respondent-University, their college is affiliated with them with effect from 1.7.2008, and it was granted recognition to conduct M.Ed. Course by the NCTE, Southern Regional Committee (SRC), Bangalore, on 20.10.2008, for an annual intake of 25 students, and subsequently, it was increased from 25 to 35. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.According to the petitioner, a team of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), which was an autonomous institution of the University Grants Commission (UGC), inspected the college on 22/23.3.2013, and assessed the infrastructure facilities available in the college, and on 9.7.2013, issued a certificate.

5.It is stated by the petitioner that as per Clause 9 of the Revised Norms published by the NCTE, in addition to the existing course, the affiliated colleges can start four year integrated programme leading to B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed. Degree and B.Ed.M.Ed. (3 year integrated) programme leading to B.Ed.M.Ed. (integrated) degree and the petitioner has approached the respondent for getting No Objection Certificate as it is a condition precedent for submission of application for recognition to the NCTE. The petitioner submitted it's application on 25.5.2015, and the last date has been extended to 30.6.2015, vide Public Notice dated 30.5.2015, and the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition praying for appropriate orders to consider their application on or before 30.6.2015.

6.Heard Mr.S.Rameshkumar, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Mr.U.Venkatesan, learned Standing Counsel, who accepted notice for the respondent.

7.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, directs the respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application dated 25.5.2015, in accordance with law, on or before 27.6.2015, and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner.
