The petitioner seeks for a direction to the respondent to dispose of his application submitted in the month of April 2014, for issuing Arms License.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that even though the said application was filed on 16.05.2014, the respondent has not passed any order on the same, till this day.

3. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner for issuing Arms License, as it is for the Licensing Authority namely, the respondent herein to consider an decide the same. However, as it is stated that the petitioner has made such application on 16.05.2014 and the said application is still pending, this Court, without expressing any view on the merits of the matter, https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

only directs the respondent to consider the said application on its own merits and pass orders in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, provided, if no such order is passed in the said application. No costs.
