For Respondents For R1 to 4 : Mr.S.Mythreye Chandru, Special Government Pleader(Education) COMMON ORDER These Writ Petitions have been filed for direction to the respondents to take into account of the service rendered by the petitioners form initial appointment till regularization (i.e 27.08.1984 to 31.03.1990) for the purpose of retirement benefits including pension. 2.
The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would submit that the petitioners were initially appointed as Vocational Instructor in the year 1984. However their services were regularised only in the year 1990. They are entitled to claim 50% of the past services for pensionary benefits in terms of Rule 11(4) of Tamilnadu Pension Rules, 1978. However, the same was not extended to the petitioners. Hence, these writ petitions have been filed. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners would further submit that this Court may issue a direction to the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 16.09.2023 & 08.01.2024.

Therefore, the respondents are directed to consider the
representations of the petitioners dated 16.09.2023 & 08.01.2024 and to pass orders on merits and in accordance with law in terms of Division Bench order in WA.Nos.2907 to 2910 of 2019 dated 29.08.2023 within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. 4.
With the above direction, both the writ petitions stand disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
