Mr.M.Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. The petitioner seeks for a mandamus directing the 1st respondent to pass orders on Revision Petition Tapal No.17572 of 2017 dated 28.01.2019 filed against the proceedings initiated and the orders passed under Sections 78 & 79 of the Tamil Nadu Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Act.
3. Heard both sides.
4. The grievance of the petitioner before this Court is that the said revision petition has not been disposed by the 1st respondent so far.
5. This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the revision filed by the petitioner, as it is for the 1st respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. Thus, this writ petition is disposed of, only by directing the 1st respondent to dispose of the revision filed by the petitioner dated 28.01.2019 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing all the parties concerned. Such exercise shall be done by the 1st respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
