The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking direction to the second respondent to consider his candidature to fill up one vacancy in the Coimbatore Medical College ahead of respondents 5 and 6 in accordance with the seniority norms prescribed in the proceedings of the Director of Public Health and Preventive Medicine dated 07.01.2015.

2.When the matter was taken up for consideration, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the relief sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous and hence nothing survives for adjudication.

3.In view of the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
