Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the respondents from interfering with the petitioner's right of performance of the 9th day Simha Vagana Raja Alangaram in Punguni Utsavam scheduled on 2.4.2019 at Arulmigu Sri Rajagopalaswamy Thirukoil, Mannargudi.

Mr.M.Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader takes notice for the respondent. By consent of the parties, the main writ petition is taken up and disposed of at the admission stage itself.

2. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus forbearing the respondents from interfering with the petitioner's right of https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

performance of the 9th day Simha Vagana Raja Alangaram in Punguni Utsavam scheduled on 2.4.2019 at Arulmigu Sri Rajagopalaswamy Thirukoil, Mannargudi.

3. Heard Mr.S.Parthasarathy, learned senior counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.M.Maharaja, learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

4. The grievance of the petitioners before this Court is that the respondents are not permitting the petitioners to perform 9th day Simha Vagana Raja Alangara Kattalai at the above said Temple as has been done all these years by the petitioners.

5. However, when the matter is taken up for admission today, learned Special Government Pleader, based on instruction, submitted that the petitioners are permitted to do the said Ubayam viz., 9th day Simha Vagana Raja Alangaram and therefore, the petitioners need not have any apprehension.

6. The above said statement of the learned Special Government Pleader is recorded and the Writ Petition is closed accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
